Concessions Application Process

  1. Get an application form from the nearest Agricultural Extension Office, OR  4th Floor, Sir Stanislaus James Building Waterfront, Castries, OR preferably download it from the Ministry of Agriculture website through the following link:

  2. The application form should be properly filled out and signed. Applicant should ensure that an Agricultural Officer signs as receiving Officer on specified section of the application form. Both application form and attached Declaration Form should be filled out and signed by applicant.
  3. Get letter of support from the nearest Agricultural Extension Office, stating that they are working with you as bonafide farmer, your crops, etc.  You can get their telephone numbers from following link; http://moa.malff.com/index.php/contacts/4-departmentofagriculture/13-extension-advisory-services-division
  4. Get document stating “Proof of viability of agr-business” or proof of sales. This must be a letter from the buyer of your produce stating what they have been buying from you for last 12 months or more. Or if you are a street vendor than a letter from your nearest Agricultural Extension Office stating approximately your annual sales value and volumes for last 12 months.
  5.  To improve the efficiency of processing applications a recent copy of the Land Register is mandatory as presenting only a Deed of Sale is not sufficient proof of ownership or permission to farm the land(s).
  6. Where an applicant is leasing/renting/ has permission to farm agricultural lands, he/she must submit a copy of the rental/lease or another type of agreement signed and stamped by a Justice of Peace and a recent copy of the Land Register. However, the Land Register must have the same name(s) as owner(s) that is in the rental agreement.
  7. Applicants must provide preferably copy of quotations and or receipts with pictures of agricultural/fisheries/processing items/inputs/vehicles to ensure applicants adhere to the required vehicle types mentioned in the Incentives Act and assist with determining customs rates.   • Single and Double cab closed panels vans
  • Single and Double cab pickup vans
  • Refrigerated trucks (4 tons) (cabinet for first and repeated applicants)
  • Dump trucks (4 tons)
  1. Copy of a pictorial National ID with social security/NIC number and copy of Farmer ID are required
  2. Application form along with all required supporting documents should be submitted to the 4th Floor, Sir Stanislaus James Building, Waterfront, Castries Head office.
  1. Applicants are advised that vehicles intended to receive duty free concessions should NOT be imported before receiving duty free approval.
  2. Applications for duty free concessions are NOT approved retroactively.
  3. After review by the concessions Committee, the applicant will be contacted for further documents, information, and report of disapproval or to collect his Letter of Approval.
