The new hoop greenhouse, slowly generating popularity amongst farmers around the island, has prompted the project to lend an arm to the elderly homes. The project has successfully installed three hoops at the Marian, Johnson and St. Lucy’s homes, there these homes can utilize the hoops to aid them in the farming of fresh fruits and vegetables. The hoops already ensures that farmers use less pesticides so this factor can be beneficial to the nutrition and health aspect of the elderly.
