The Taiwan technical mission in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture hosted the first of its graduation ceremonies today for its farmer’s training certification program. Over the course of five weeks these farmers benefited from topics relevant to their jobs as farmers and were made aware of good agricultural practices for use by them and their farm workers. The topics covered included good agricultural practices, pesticide use and management, cultivation management, post-harvest technologies, record keeping, and marketing/ business planning. The farmers thanked the Taiwan Technical Mission for the training and were grateful for the certification program and expressed their desire to continue learning more.
