June 15th 2026

The Government of Saint Lucia, through the Department of Agriculture and its Department of Fisheries, reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the national seamoss industry and enhancing climate resilience in coastal communities with the signing of an agreement under the Caribbean Regional Architecture for Biodiversity (CRAB) Project.

This agreement represents a significant step toward advancing sustainable fisheries development, strengthening Saint Lucia’s blue economy, and improving the resilience and livelihoods of communities that depend on marine resources. Through this partnership, the Government of Saint Lucia continues to support innovative and environmentally sustainable initiatives that promote economic growth while safeguarding the country’s coastal and marine ecosystems.
