Supporting decisions with respect to conservation and management of fisheries resources depends on the compilation of data relating to the fisheries sector through reliable data management systems  Charged with the responsibility to collect, process, compile/collate, store, analyze and disseminate fisheries statistics, we provide information to determine the performance of the fisheries sector. The Unit also coordinates the collection and storage of Aquaculture statistics and continues to revise and develop suitable sampling techniques for estimation of national fish production since 1981.
