Intensive One-Day Workshop for Coconut Farmers

This morning the agriculture team joined newly- installed CARDI Representative for Saint Lucia, Barry Innocent as he formally opened an intensive one-day workshop for coconut farmers, and plant health and extension services and advisory services officers of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Today’s Workshop will look at the up-to-date protocol for the management and surveillance of the coconut weavel under the guidance of visiting Plant Health Professional from the CARDI Cayman Island office, Dr Minot.
This activity is held in support of ongoing interventions by the Ministry of Agriculture to boost productivity within the subsector and to safeguard our local food systems.
